Loja has a mild climate. Temperatures range from 9°C to 21°C. You’ll see a bit of rain from approximately January to June, but aside from that, weather in Loja is rather pleasant.

 

SAFETY IN LOJA

Loja is a safe city by Ecuadorian standards. However, on travel websites and forums, Parque Pucara and the surrounded area have been noted as a high-crime area. Avoid this park at night, and you shouldn’t have too many problems in this city.

There are several museums in the city. We recommend checking out the Door of the City Museum to learn a bit about the city and its history.
